I think I've seen this one before in a Walgreens parking lot.
Either way, it sounded glorious taking off from the light.
Excuse the nastiness of my windshield, I don't have working washer fluid nozzles. But does that really shock anyone on my POS?
Speaking of my POS, I did another 0-60 run in the dry.
WHAT THE HELL.
HOW DID IT GO UP!? I SHOULD HAVE WENT DOWN.
*anger intensifies*

*laughs hysterically, falls off bed*

The want I had to ghost ride the damn thing into the corn field next to the road was unreal .

What was it before, mid 12s?
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:00 |

12.38!
I'm not understanding how it went up.

Well, was it a GPS clock or you pressing a button? If it was manual, reaction time would more than account for the difference.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:20 |

I mean, it's me manually doing it, but I did it three times and when I did it originally I did it three times. The times were pretty well grouped together, not almost a second difference.

Maybe bad gas? Or maybe it really is getting older.
Lemme put it this way: I'd be even more surprised if it was almost a second faster.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:26 |

I'm ruling it down to it's age and the 4-speed is probably on the way out and taking power to the wheels with it.
It just want a faster, newer, more fuel efficient car.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:28 |

My car's 0-60 was 12.6 seconds... when it was brand new.

Isn't it also a tiny little 1.2 diesel? Or smaller.

Lol as I'm sure you already saw, today I witnessed the lowest readout on an MPG display that I've ever seen. I felt so accomplished.
It said four.

Range Rover?
Yeah, I could probably beat that. But I don't have anything close to an instant MPG gauge. Shit, I don't have a tach.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:34 |
|
Yup. Granted, I was absolutely flooring it up a very steep hill. But over the entire test drive, we averaged 8. Which is both sad and funny at the same time.
You mean it didn't come with a tac or the tac broke?
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:38 |

I never had one.
I'd trade my non-working Temp gauge and wonky oil gauge for one though.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:40 |

Ya 1.3 haha.

Temp gauge: Am I a bad person for never, ever checking it or worrying about it? I'd trade you my (presumably) working one for yours if I could.

I only like it because I'm honestly terrified of this thing overheating in traffic. Even though it's never actually happened.
I'm just paranoid while driving this thing. I ran over a damn stick and thought my driveshaft fell off.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:43 |

Don't worry, it's probably has gotten spoiled and lazy. It's thinking, "They spent money on me, so the must love me. This means I can behave how I want."
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:44 |

So small!
When you think 4.3 liters, you think powerful though. Not 160 horsepower.

Damnit, you're gonna make me fall off my bad again.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:45 |

It better change it's damn attitude before I replace it. It's getting expensive and frustrating. I think 17 years of ownership is enough.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:46 |
|
I mean, it could probably happen. And probably will now that I've said something.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:49 |

It is enough. What do you think is the most likely replacement?
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:49 |

Still quicker than mine :(
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:50 |

Probably a Cobalt or something fuel efficient. And faster.
I've found a fond liking of the G5 GT, and there's one for sale with a manual and 56k on the clock.
6-second faster 0-60, and 30+ MPG highway.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:53 |

That's true, my grandads 2 litre diesel gets that much power and does 0-60 in 9 ish seconds. Is it the emissions stuff choking the engine or something?
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:54 |
|
Please don't get a Cobalt. Although, I'm oddly okay with the G5.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:58 |

They're the same thing, so it doesn't make a difference to me which one I get. I'd like a G5 because it isn't as common a car though.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 19:59 |

Most certainly. Gotta love an engine developed in the 80s.
It doesn't help that I'm confused which engine I have. It could be 200, it could be 160. I'm pretty sure now it's the 160 motor, which is depressing as hell.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 20:05 |

That, and it looks better.
![]() 10/17/2014 at 20:33 |

Wait, you mean that's not how it works?

Slightly, the loss of the wannabe Corvette tail lights does help.

Pretty certain my Prius beats that by a couple of seconds.
